SGUA TechBridge Association is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2012. As a non-profit organization, we handle your data with the utmost care and only for purposes that support our mission of connecting Singapore and Ukraine tech ecosystems.
1. Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
The PDPA establishes a data protection law that comprises various rules governing the collection, use, disclosure and care of personal data. It recognizes both the rights of individuals to protect their personal data and the needs of organizations to collect, use or disclose personal data for legitimate and reasonable purposes.

SGUA TechBridge Association complies with all PDPA requirements for non-profit organizations in Singapore and is committed to protecting your personal data.
2. Your Rights Under PDPA
Right to Access
You can request information about the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy of such data.
Right to Correction
You can request correction of any error or omission in your personal data that is in our possession or control.
Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data at any time.
Right to Data Portability
You can request a copy of your data in a commonly used format for transmission to another organization.
Important: We may charge a reasonable fee for processing access requests to cover administrative costs. We will inform you of any charges before processing your request.

Membership Data
- Full name and contact details (email, phone number)
- Company name, designation, and industry sector
- Professional interests and expertise areas
- Voluntary donation records (for acknowledgment)
- Communication preferences
4. How We Protect Your Data
SGUA implements robust security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks:

Staff training, access controls, and regular security reviews
Technical Safeguards
Encryption, secure servers, and regular security updates
Physical Security
Secure storage of physical documents and controlled access
5. Manage Your Personal Data
You have control over your personal data. Choose the appropriate option based on your needs:
Request deletion of specific personal data while maintaining your membership.
This option allows you to:
- Remove specific data categories
- Keep your SGUA membership active
- Maintain essential account data
Permanently end your SGUA membership and delete all associated data.

- Permanently delete all your data
- End your SGUA membership
- Cannot be reversed
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
As we connect Singapore and Ukraine tech ecosystems, your personal data may be transferred internationally. We ensure all transfers comply with PDPA requirements:
- Data transfers are limited to countries with comparable data protection standards
- We use standard contractual clauses approved by the PDPC
- Third-party processors are bound by data protection agreements
- You will be notified of any significant data transfers
Our primary data processing occurs in Singapore, with limited transfers to Ukraine for collaboration purposes. All transfers are secured and monitored.
7. Data Retention Periods
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

8. How to Make a Data Protection Request
To exercise any of your data protection rights, follow these steps:

Identity Verification
We may request additional information to verify your identity and protect your data
Processing
We will process your request within 30 days and notify you of the outcome
No Discrimination
Exercising your data rights will not affect your membership benefits or our services to you.
